Nutrilite Traditional Herbs – The secret of ancient wisdom

I am yet to meet a person who has not heard of Amway. The word is synonymous with great quality products which are supremely efficient and effective with respect to the needs they were created for. Products like Glister toothpaste, S8 detergent and the Artistry range of cosmetics have become household names with a loyal following. In recent times, Amway has been seen often on TV by way of the Nutrilite commercials. The Nutrilite range provides a range of vitamins and dietary supplements to millions of people across the world every day. And now the Nutrilite Traditional Herbs  have delved into the wisdom of ancient science of Ayurveda to bring us 4 new solutions. Continue reading

“Head to toe” care with Himalaya baby wipes

Baby wipes – the word is enough to set flight to a plethora of ways in which we can use them. If I had my way I would award the “best product ever” title to baby wipes. While I have tried as much as possible to go the sustainable way and use cloth and water on most occasions, I will admit that this is not always a convenient or practical solution always, especially on the go. I have then resorted to using baby wipes.

Finding the right baby wipe is a matter of great deliberation and I invested quite some time on this when #babyT was a newborn. It was obvious that a chemically laden wipe was not going to fit the bill. We wanted something that was natural, gentle and yet did its job well. Plus it had to be versatile so that I could use it for the unimaginable messes & spills that those seemingly innocent babies can get up to. Continue reading

New beginnings, new dreams

For some funny reason, which I have failed to understand, most of the big changes in my life have happened almost overnight. From having no job post the completion of my MBA to finalizing a very reputed organization within walking distance from home almost in 2 days after arriving back home from B-school. From having no luck in the arranged marriage market to finding the man of my dreams at work and getting married to him in less than 6 months of our first date. From having a tough time conceiving to finding out we were pregnant the moment we went off all fertility treatments. You get the drift… everything has happened almost suddenly for us. No time to think or blink given. Continue reading

Children’s books to read together on Mother’s Day

The beauty of children’s books is that we get transported right back to our own childhood. Leafing through page after page of colourful illustrations and simple but meaningful words and stories lets us find a moment of joy and happiness with our children. And there is so much variety on offer when it comes to children’s books – so many themes and storylines to choose from. Take, for example, children’s books for mother’s day. Continue reading

It’s cool to walk to school

I just got back from the supermarket this evening and on the way back I saw at least some school buses entering our building compound. It was almost 7 pm. Kids trooped out of the buses, bearing a heavy school bag on their backs. They had a sullen look on their face.

This got me thinking about school and what I wanted for babyT. As any other parent would, we too want our son to study in a top-notch school and get a good education – academics as well as extracurricular activities. But there was a dearth of such schools in the suburb we lived in. He would have to travel by school bus. Continue reading

The Alpha to the Omega of blogging experiences

April 2018. What a month it has been! I have always noticed and said to people too, that in my life I see a complete scarcity of action and experiences and then face a flood, nay a cloud burst, of activity. So too with this April. And when that flood happened I felt so overwhelmed to even acknowledge that I faced it all – joyful moments to utter remorse and despair. But the bottomline is that I emerged. And lived to write this gratitude post. Continue reading
