While 5th December may have been a washout day for the city and many parts of coastal India, it was a golden one for the team at Godrej Aerospace. They delivered the 100th set of airframe assemblies to BrahMos Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. ( BAPL) for use in its missile systems. Another feather in the Godrej group’s cap as they continue to make the company proud and contribute towards building India’sdefencee capabilities.
The BrahMos missile is a stealth universal supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from ships, submarines, aircraft and land-based platforms. (see more details below.) Godrej Aerospace has been associated with BrahMos programme since its inception in 2001. Continue reading
How safe are your home and valuables? This question although a simple one kept lingering in my mind, after an afternoon I spent at the campus of Godrej Locks in Mumbai. On the 15th of November, Godrej invited me and a set of bloggers from various niches to listen to a panel discussion by members from groups who have spent time thinking about and working on the concept of safety and theft. The event left us all pondering about how casually we take the safety of our homes and how much more we can do to make ourselves safe.
Before we arrived for the event, the team at Godrej Locking Solutions and Systems sent us three bone-chilling videos to view where they had interviewed reformed thieves. These interviews showed the modus operandi of seasoned thieves and how easy it was for them to break into homes. As a child I remember, how the festive season would mean a lot of exhibitions being held in Mumbai. We made it a point to visit the fests every year with my mom and dad and cousins. I also remember being awed by the colourful wares on show, live displays for kitchen equipment and the variety of food stalls. However, all this was catered for grown-ups. And my eyes yearned to see things for myself. But I would only be disappointed not to find too many things on offer to excite my childlike mind. But today the scene is very different. Kids, kids and kids are the only focus of this exciting event coming up in Mumbai this November. Its even called Krazy Kids Karnival.
The last Saturday of September saw close to 140 mini models take over the ramp at Junior’s Fashion Week which was held at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Selected kids were taken through a workshop to teach them the basics of the ramp. The mini models then sashayed down the ramp to the exquisite Autumn Winter collection by the showcasing brands. From little 4 year old’s who toddled down the ramp to older children turning and twirling, the event was a sight that had us gasping at the poise, elegance and confidence and composure of the little superstars.
